Partner terms
Last updated: 27 October 2026 · version 2026-10-27
These are the terms for accommodation and service partners who buy the plan for a listing on Coast to Coast Walk (walkcoasttocoast.co.uk): the plan is how a listing becomes yours. They are written to be read, not skimmed: everything you pay for, what it costs, how to stop, and what we do with your business details. The plan is sold to businesses only (section 15). Our Terms of Service, Marketplace Terms and Privacy Policy also apply; where they say something different about a plan, these terms prevail.
1. What you are buying
A listing of your own on the Coast to Coast Walk website and app, with an active plan. With an active plan, hikers see your phone number, WhatsApp button, website and booking link, your description, your photos, your prices and your facilities; your listing carries a Featured mark and comes first in your stage’s lists, taking turns at the top with the other Featured listings in an order that changes every day; you can publish a discount badge; and your dashboard shows how often the listing was seen and which buttons were tapped. Without an active plan a listing stays on the map with only its name, type, stage and hiker rating.
Your listing appears on the Coast to Coast Walk platform only.
2. Price and billing
- There is one plan. It runs for 12 months from the day you pay and renews automatically every year until you cancel. Its price follows the kind of place you run, as decided by your listing’s type: hotels, or every other kind of place (B&Bs, guesthouses, hostels, camping and the rest). The current prices are on the plan page.
- Price: a plan bought from 1 January 2027, or one the launch price does not apply to, costs £239, or £299 for hotels, for its 12 months, paid in advance in GBP (£).
- Launch price: a plan bought by 31 December 2026, 23:59 London time, costs £139, or £179 for hotels, for its first 12 months. The launch price applies once per business.
- Renewal: each renewal is charged at our renewal price at that time, which we email you, with the renewal’s date, at least 14 days before the renewal; you can cancel before it, and the plan then runs to the end of the 12 months you have paid for.
- Payments are taken by card through Stripe. We never see or store your card details.
- Your plan’s price is the one shown on the payment page when you pay. We may change the prices of plans bought later; the plan page always shows the current ones.
- By buying, you authorise us to charge your card through Stripe for the plan and for each renewal until you cancel. If a renewal payment fails, your listing shows only its name, type, stage and hiker rating until the payment goes through; Stripe tries again for up to 2 weeks, and if the last try fails, the plan ends. Any fee your bank or card issuer charges, for example for a payment in a foreign currency, is yours.
3. Cancelling
You can cancel at any time from your dashboard (Manage Billing), or by emailing hello@walkcoasttocoast.co.uk from your account address. Your plan then runs to the end of the year you have paid for and does not renew; nothing further is charged. After that your listing stays on the map with only its name, type, stage and hiker rating.
4. Refunds
Within 3 days (72 hours) of any payment, the first one or a renewal, email us from your account address and we refund that payment in full; your plan then ends. After those 3 days a payment is not refunded, but you keep the plan to the end of the year it paid for. No other refund is due, whatever the reason, unless these terms say so; for example, none is due if you stop using the listing, close or sell your place, or receive fewer enquiries than you hoped. When you add a new place, you pay when you add it and we check it, usually within 2 working days; if we cannot list it, we refund you in full. When you buy the plan for a listing without a link from our email, we confirm after the payment that the place is yours, usually within 1 working day; the listing changes only once that is confirmed, and if the place is not yours we refund you in full. In both cases the 12 months start on the day you pay. If we remove your listing for a reason that is not a breach of these terms, we refund the unused part of the period you have paid for (section 13). Refunds go back to the card that paid, in the currency it paid in; we do not cover bank charges or differences in exchange rates.
5. Invoices and VAT
Pixelo Mobile Ltd is not registered for VAT, so no VAT is added to our prices: the price shown is the total you pay. A receipt for each payment is emailed to you. If your business needs an invoice with your VAT number, email hello@walkcoasttocoast.co.uk with the number and we will issue one. If the law of your own country asks your business to pay or account for a tax on this purchase itself (for example under a reverse charge), that is for your business to do.
6. No bookings or payments
We do not take bookings or payments on your behalf: a hiker who finds you here contacts you directly, and the stay is a contract between you and the hiker. You own that relationship.
7. Discount badges
A discount offer is a badge on your listing with a percentage, a title and a short code. Anyone can see the badge; a signed-in hiker can reveal the code. The code is the same for everyone who reveals it. You honour the discount at your own desk, and you can pause or remove an offer at any time. We count how many hikers reveal the code; we do not verify redemptions, and we never tell you who revealed it.
8. Your listing and your responsibilities
- Keep your details accurate: a wrong phone number or price costs you the enquiry, not us.
- Only upload photos and text you have the right to use. We may remove content that breaks our Content Policy, is misleading, or targets other businesses.
- Reply to hikers in good faith and honour any offer you publish while it is live.
- Hold the licences and insurance the law requires for your business, and follow the laws that apply to it and to what you publish here, for example on prices, discounts and consumer rights. We list you; we do not inspect you.
- Do not post, buy or arrange fake reviews or ratings, for your place or for anyone else’s. We do not remove honest reviews or ratings because you ask us to.
- Keep your sign-in details to yourself: you are responsible for what is done with your account.
- Your photos, texts, logo and other content stay yours. You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive licence, without payment to you, to host, copy, resize, crop, translate (also by automatic translation), adapt and show them on this site and in its app, and to use them to promote your listing and the site, for example in search results, on social media and in our newsletters. The licence lasts while your content is on the platform, and afterwards for what we published before it was removed. You confirm that you have the rights to give us this licence.
9. What we do and do not do
- We show your listing and count how it performs. In our lists of places to stay, places with an active plan come first, taking turns at the top in an order that changes every day; the other places follow, mainly in order of their hiker rating. We list other places too, your neighbours and competitors among them, with or without a plan.
- We may correct a listing’s map position or type, and we may suspend a listing that receives credible complaints, until they are resolved with you.
- We do not guarantee any number of views, enquiries or bookings, any position in a list or in search engines, or that the website and the app will always be available and work without errors.
- We may change the website and the app, including their design, their features and how lists work, as long as your plan keeps its main parts: your contact details, description and photos shown to hikers, the Featured mark, and a place ahead of listings without a plan.
- If the platform is unavailable for more than three consecutive days through our fault, we extend your paid period by the same time. This is the only remedy for the platform being unavailable.
10. Your data
Your listing’s name, type, stage and hiker rating are public by design, whether or not you have a plan; its photos, prices, facilities, address, contact details and description are public while your plan is active. Your account email and password are used only to sign you in and to send you service messages: confirmations, receipts, the reminder before each renewal, your monthly numbers, and anything that affects your plan. Analytics you see are counts and aggregates; we never show you who an individual hiker is. The Privacy Policy explains the rest, including how to delete your account. If you receive a hiker’s details through the platform, you are responsible for them under the data protection law that applies to you: use them only to answer that hiker, keep them safe, and never add them to a mailing list or pass them on.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. A new version applies to every plan bought after we publish it. For a plan you already have, we email you before a change applies to it: at least 15 days before, or at least 30 days before if it affects what you pay or what you get; if you do not agree, you can end your plan before it takes effect by emailing us, and we refund the unused part of your period. A change the law requires, or one needed at once against fraud or a security risk, can apply sooner. A renewal price is not a change to these terms: section 2 says how we tell you about it.
12. Tour requests: the plans for tour companies and guides
This section is for the guides, tour companies and other local businesses that answer hikers’ tour requests on this site (luggage and transfer firms, equipment hire, experiences, food). Places to stay are not part of tour requests: sections 1 to 11 are their terms. Sections 5, 8, 10 and 11, and sections 13 to 16, apply to the plans for tour companies and guides too.
- There are two plans: the plan for guides, for independent guides, and the plan for tour companies, for every other business. Each runs for 12 months from the day you pay and renews automatically every year until you cancel. A plan covers this site only: a business on two of our sites buys a plan on each.
- A plan bought from 1 January 2027, or one the launch price does not apply to, costs £598 (plan for tour companies) or £249 (plan for guides) for its 12 months, paid in advance in GBP (£). A plan bought by 31 December 2026, 23:59 London time, costs £358 (plan for tour companies) or £149 (plan for guides) for its first 12 months; the launch price applies once per business on each site.
- Claiming or creating the account of a guide or tour company listed on this site costs nothing; sending quotes needs a plan. You can buy a plan before we have checked your business, and you can send quotes once we approve it. If we do not approve your business, we refund the plan in full and it ends. You can cancel at any time from your dashboard or by emailing us; the plan then runs to the end of the year you have paid for. Within 3 days (72 hours) of any payment we refund it in full if you ask, and the plan ends. Each renewal is charged at our renewal price at that time, which we email you at least 14 days before the renewal. Invoices: see section 5.
- With an active plan you can send quotes for this site’s tour requests; a request takes at most 5. When you send a quote, the hiker sees your quote, your business name and profile and how to reach you, and you see the hiker’s name and email address.
- Use a hiker’s details only to answer their request: no mailing lists, no marketing, no passing them on, and no further messages once they have said no or chosen another business. We may suspend quoting for a business that breaks this rule or receives credible complaints from hikers, until it is resolved with you.
13. Suspending or ending a plan
- We may suspend a plan, or end it at once, if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms or the law; if details you gave us are false or the place is not yours; if your place or your conduct puts hikers, the platform or our good name at risk; or if you dispute a payment with your bank or card issuer instead of asking us for a refund. We email you our reasons. A plan we end for one of these reasons is not refunded.
- We may refuse or cancel a purchase before the plan starts, for example if we cannot list the place or confirm that it is yours; we then refund it in full.
- For any other reason, we may end a plan, or stop selling plans or running the website and the app, by emailing you at least 30 days before; we then refund the unused part of the period you have paid for.
- When a plan ends, for whatever reason, your listing goes back to its name, type, stage and hiker rating (section 1), and sections 8, 14 and 15 still apply.
14. Liability
- Nothing in these terms limits or excludes a liability that the law does not allow to be limited or excluded, such as liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
- Apart from that, we are not liable for any loss of profit, revenue, bookings, business, goodwill or data, or for any indirect or consequential loss, however it arises.
- Our total liability to you for everything connected with a plan, in contract, in tort (including negligence) or otherwise, is limited to the amount you paid us for that plan in the 12 months before the event that gave rise to the claim.
- We are not responsible for what hikers, other businesses or other users do or publish, or for services run by others, such as Stripe, the app stores, map providers and hosting providers. Nor are we liable for a delay or failure caused by events beyond our reasonable control, such as fire, flood, storms, earthquakes, epidemics, war, strikes, government action, the closure of the trail or of access to it, or the failure of the internet or of those services. A fall in the number of hikers, for whatever reason, is not a fault of ours.
- You will make good any loss, damage and reasonable cost (legal costs included) that we suffer because of a claim brought against us by a hiker or anyone else that arises from your place, your services, your content, or your breach of these terms or of the law.
15. General
- The plan is for businesses. You buy it for your business, not as a consumer, and you confirm that you run that business or are authorised to act for it, and that you may accept these terms for it. Consumer cancellation rights do not apply to the plan; section 4 sets out its refunds.
- These terms, with the price shown on the payment page when you pay, are the whole agreement between us about your plan. Where our other terms or policies say something different about a plan, these terms prevail.
- We may transfer our rights and duties under these terms to another company, for example if our business is sold, and we will tell you if we do. You may not transfer yours without our written agreement: a new owner of your place or business buys its own plan.
- We send notices to your account email address, so keep it up to date. A notice counts as received when we send it, unless we learn that it did not arrive. Your notices to us go to the address in section 16.
- If a court finds part of these terms invalid, the rest still applies. If we do not enforce a right straight away, we can still enforce it later. Nobody other than you and us has any rights under these terms.
